The first and overdue step: ALDI must finally react to the undeniable facts and enter into a constructive dialogue with those affected.

Furthermore, we demand that ALDI critically and transparently address the events of the past and acknowledge its role in this dark chapter of German-German history.

Ultimately, behind the acknowledgment of ALDI’s responsibility for the injustice committed, there must be a financial contribution to the nationwide hardship fund for SED victims.

ALDI now has the unique opportunity to be the first German company to set a good example and to follow up its grand self-commitments with actions!
